According to the ICAO Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP) and the North American, Central American, and Caribbean Regional Aviation Safety Plan (NACC-RASP), the following events fall into the high-risk aviation safety categories:

  2. Controlled Flight into Terrain (CFIT): This occurs when an airworthy aircraft, under pilot control, is unintentionally flown into the ground, a mountain, water, or an obstacle.

  3. Loss of Control In-Flight (LOC-I): This involves situations where the pilot loses control of the aircraft, often leading to accidents.
